About the "Donor" Bike1983 Kawasaki GPz750 Parts: we are parting out an entire 1983 GPz750. It has only 2,000 original miles and the parts show that lack of wear! The bike was a barn-find: bought new in 1983, parked in 1985 and then we got it in July 2015. The oil was changed, carbs cleaned, and a bit of top end lube/starter fluid introduced to the mix: the bike DID fire and startup. But after sitting for 30 years, we're not doing anything but that 10-15 second fire-up to make sure the starter, carbs, motor, etc. are functional... The engine needs more Tuneup/TLC than that to really be run. Looking for a different Kawasaki part? We'll be adding listings for the entire bike's worth of parts over the coming days. The Kawasaki GPz750 was a sport bike introduced by Kawasaki in 1982. It was more than a warmed-over KZ750, as it was improved in many areas, focusing on high-performance. Changes started at the front, with tapered bearings in the steering head instead of the KZ750's ball bearings, and the upper triple clamp was changed also, giving the GPz solid aluminum clip-on handle grips instead of the traditional handlebar. The GPz750 boasted increased power, with slightly higher compression, and camshafts designed to get the valves to full lift quicker, and fitting Mikuni 34mm carburetors to it for smoother airflow. The cylinder heads were also given a new combustion chamber with a 'squish zone' and porting & polishing from the factory. To maintain reliability oil passages were installed under the pistons for increased cooling, and an oil-cooler was added. The GPz750 was the quickest factory 750, as Cycle World recorded a time of 11.93 seconds at 109.62 mph (176.42 km/h) in the 1/4 mile. The GPz750 underwent some significant changes in 1983. In 1983, the engine was modified further, mostly in the combustion chamber, and an all new frame was utilized with uni-track suspension. There were also modifications to the suspension, brakes and wheels, as well as the bodywork. Power in '83 was 85 bhp (63 kW)@9500 rpm with torque of 49.7 ft·lbf's@7400 rpm and wet weight was 234 kg (515 lb)]About UsRE:CYCLE specializes in taking 1970's-1990's Japanese Motorcycles that are past the point of reasonable restoration, and offering their parts to give life to other bikes and keep 'em on the road! Our company is run by two brothers who are both long-time bike fanatics, and a small dedicated team based in Elizabethville, Pennsylvania. Policies - We have these policies for clarity, so that we both know what's going to happen with your order. Please read carefully before buying/lookingShippingWe pack the items very well and carefully: We know how much we hate it when we're eagerly awaiting something and it comes in a cruddy envelope and damaged... We bet you do too. We ship by the 2nd business day after your order - usually faster. We ship items Monday-Friday: we're a family-owned and family-oriented company. Our founders and employees work hard 5 days a week, and deserve their weekends. We actually try very hard to ship out the next business day for most items, but some (especially with more complex packaging) will ship out within 2 business days of your order/payment. "Business Days" means 9am-5pm EST Monday-Friday except holidays. Please bear in mind weekends and holidays in our shipping schedule.FeedbackFeedback is a critical part of the eCRATER community. We think our customers are great and always give positive feedback for successful transactions, please do the same for us. PLEASE READ!! Anything less than positive feedback and 5-star ratings is an "F" for us... Before leaving anything but that PLEASE contact us to resolve your concern: If we messed up, we want  to make it right and ensure you never have a reason for anything but perfect feedback ratings - we're only human, not perfect and do occasionally make mistakes, but we do what it takes to correct them ASAP. "Green" PackagingOur first priority is always a safe & successful delivery of your purchase, and if that means using bubble-wrap, we'll do it.  But we do try hard to ship as "green" as possibleWe buy boxes made from 100% post-consumer recycled material. For heavier items we typically use "heavy duty" boxes. To fill 'void' space in our boxes, we prefer to use packing paper made from 100% recycled material over styrofoam peanuts or plastic 'air bags' whenever possible"Loose" Packing: For items that are not fragile, we will securely wrap the item, but may not 'fill' the void space in the box at all. That's to avoid using styrofoam or even paper just to fill the space. We only do that for items that won't be damaged by being able to "move around" a bit within the box, e.g. a wheel. We encourage you to "pay it forward" by recycling the boxes, paper and other recycle-able materials we use.Listings, photos & descriptionsWe sell used motorcycle parts. They are not new, they are not perfect, and they typically show signs of being... well... used.  Some are "used" more than others, and that's where descriptions and photos come into it.We take great pains to describe the item in our descriptions. But pictures are worth 1,000 words. Our policy is that the photos fundamentally "describe" the item best and if there's any question, it's the photos that "rule the day". So if you feel that something in the description doesn't jive with the photos, then presume what you see in the photo is the reality. We work hard to provide clear, high-res pictures. If it's not in the picture, you're not going to receive it. This is particularly true of screws, bolts and connectors. Customer SatisfactionWe're proud of our high positive rating and want to keep it that way. We present the items accurately in both photos and descriptions. We are always fair with my customers, and ask them to be fair with us in return. If there's a problem with something, please let me know and we'll find a way to make it right. You should never have a reason to leave us anything but positive, 5-star feedback. Please be fair with us too: Unfairly-returned items increase costs for everyone: us, you, and all motorcycle enthusiasts trying to "keep 'em on the ro
